A nurse is the health care worker responsible for providing general nursing care. Preventive, curative, palliative and rehabilitative nursing assistance is of a technical, relational, educational nature. The main duties are the prevention of disease, assistance of the sick and disabled of all ages, and health education.
The course offers a basic preparation in the field of basic and clinical sciences for a better understanding of the most relevant elements that underlie the physiological and pathological processes addressed by a nurse’s preventive, welfare and educational intervention.
Frontal teaching represents approximately half of the total training credits, while the remainder is assigned to professional internships, tutoring sessions on case discussion and problem-solving, teaching laboratories that address technical and relational skills, seminars, guided study and report production. The duration of the nursing degree course is 3 years and the teaching activities contribute to a total of 180 academic credits (ECTS).
