Electronic periodicals
Electronic journals are serial publications in electronic format and may or may not have a paper version.
They can be subscribed individually or in editorial "packages"; they can also be entered in disciplinary databases.
In particular, our University has subscribed to packages of electronic periodicals with the following publishers:
- AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Science). Titles: Science, Science Signaling, Science Immunology e Science Translational Medicine.
- AMA (American Medical Association): 10 titles, including JAMA e JAMA Internal Medicine.
- Annual Reviews: collection "Sciences" of 47 titles.
- ASM (American Society for Microbiology): 18 titles.
- BMJ (British Medical Journals): 30 titles, including The BMJ.
- Cell Press. Titles: Cell, Cell Host & Microbe, Cell Stem Cell, Immunity, Molecular Cell, Molecular Therapy and Neuron.
- CUP (Cambridge University Press): multidisciplinary package consisting of about 400 titles.
- Elsevier ScienceDirect: multidisciplinary package consisting of about 2,200 titles, including The Lancet and Blood.
- JSTOR : multidisciplinary package (collections Arts and Science I-VIII, X, XI, XIII, Life Science and Sustainability) for a total of around 2,500 titles.
- Nature (Research + Reviews): 18 titles, including Nature and the new periodicals Nature Aging and Nature Cardiovascular Research
- Springer Springerlink: collections "Biomedical and Life Sciences" and "Medicine".
- Wiley OnlineLibrary: multidisciplinary package consisting of about 2,300 titles.

In addition, the library has subscriptions to the following periodicals:
- American Journal of Physiology
- Cancer Research e Clinical Cancer Research
- The Journal of Cell Biology
- Journal of Cell Science
- The Journal of Experimental Medicine
- The New England Journal of Medicine
- Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America
To search among the periodicals, consult the UPO Health electronic resources portal, created ad hoc for the School of Medicine starting from the University discovery tool UPO Finder, which allows you to expand the search to all the electronic resources of the University Library System. To access the magazine you are interested in, you must:
- click on “A-to-Z Magazines and Ebooks List” in the menu located at the top of the page
- enter the title or part of it in the search box and click on "Search"
- next to the title required, click on “access the complete text” and then on the link (s) proposed
You can also consult the electronic periodicals available through the Virtual Library of Health - Piedmont Region (BVS-P) by contacting the library staff.
